In a final discussion prompted by another issue with a different tech person from HP, he encouraged me to let him try his hand at fixing the Intel graphics problem. I had more lengthy discussions with HP tech support, and they wanted me to reinstall the entire operating system, which I was reluctant to do since this would require starting from scratch replacing everything. This is an update, and possible solution. I can be communicated with directly of course. I have not upgraded the system from Windows 8 to 10. HP tech has already reinstalled all the relevant drivers, etc, according to their requirements. I am reluctant to do this, since even after all the investment of time and effort of a total reinstall I strongly suspect that the same conflict (or whatever this is) will occur.

I have now spent hours with HP tech people, and they have tried everything they can think of, and now are suggesting I reinstall the entire system, which means many hours of reinstalling everything including my software and configuring everything. Thanks for your response, Caesar from Intel.
